Principally this project consists of 2 attached buildings: a newer part of approx. 220 sq.mt. as well as a somewhat older part of about 110 sq.mt as well as an underlying 50 sq.mt. stunning double vaulted wine cellar. At the back of the buildings one also finds a simple but well-constructed outbuilding which can be used as a garage or workshop.
If you need a lot of space, the whole house can of course be renovated (creating e.g. more than 5 bedrooms) but you could also choose to demolish/rebuild the old part leaving only the main building for your future holiday home. This will significantly reduce the complexity and cost of the renovations project while still leaving you plenty of space to create your cosy country home.
While the future owner has near complete freedom to create their own personalised interior we would suggest to use the ground floor to create a nice farmhouse style kitchen with adjacent living room with woodburning stove. In our vision both these rooms would have direct access to the garden and swimming pool area from where you would have simply stunning views.

From this part indoor/outdoor living areas there is access to the 50 sq.mt. underlying wine cellar with its classic Piemonte vaulted ceilings. This cellar is dry and completely intact and is only in need of a bit of cleaning and tiding up. Here you have the stable year-round temperature required for storing your wine – and a amazing focal point for tasting your way through the local Barbera Nizza’s, the Noble Barbaresco‘s or the Royal Barolo’s with family and friends. It’s simply an impressive feature in a classic farmhouse.
This great project is located on 1,5 hectares of land of which the majority used to be a vineyard. If you want to grow grapes and create your own private wine label the vineyard can be re-established.
In general, the land is located on a sunny hillside position nestled in the middle of a nature lovers paradise with an amazing view across vineyards and charming hill tops. The only thing you will hear when sitting beside your swimming pool with your breakfast or Aperitivo is the chattering of birds and the deer rustling in the surrounding landscape – despite being 10 minutes’ walk from the charming village of Mombercelli.
The house is connected to communal electricity, water and gas. Having access to communal gas is a great advantage as it will save you a lot of money in heating compared to having a private (GPL) gas tank. Drainage is as always with these farmhouses via a septic tank. The access road is with asphalt securing you easy access at any time of the year.
