This Estate which has foundations dating back to the 10th century, is directly connected to the small chapel of Bartholomew the Apostle. The Estate shares its main entrance through the courtyard of this delightful little chapel which is unused now. Once through the gated main entrance and onto an impressive balcony the beautiful valleys of Basso Monferrato open up with wide ranging views.
On the right of the gated main entrance one finds the main house which is spread over 3 floors and with the wine production facilities and cantinas at basement level.
On the left side of the gated main entrance a side building includes 2 small single bedrooms / apartments each with their bathroom. Through a separate entrance this side building also includes a large and airy two bedroom apartment currently use by staff associated with the Estate. An underlying basement is currently used as a secondary area for wine tastings and storage.
In total the Estate comprises of 12 hectares of which 6 hectares are planted with Barbera and Nebbiolo.
Through effective pruning, to maximise the quality of grapes, the annual wine production is now app. 20,000
bottles.
