The house was restored in 2008 but never lived in. There are some finishing works needed and due to not being lived or heated for so many years the house needs some re-working, but nothing serious.

The ground floor has a small living room, kitchen, bathroom and an ancient wine cellar with a water well. A stone staircase leads to the next level that has an area that could be used as a study, there’s a large bedroom with an open fireplace and an en-suite bathroom. From this room is access to the front balcony that offers beautiful views. Another doorway leads to the terrace which has a spectacular view of the nearby castle. It’s every bit as impressive as the photos show. A spiral staircase leads to the top level. Here, on a slightly lower level, we find a large bedroom with wood-beamed ceilings and stone walls. There’s a bathroom here too with a toilet, bidet and shower.

There’s a small garden that can also be used for parking. It’s a very special house in a very special location. We can recommend the tradesmen needed to finish the house and appropriate furniture is cheap and easy to find here.

The location is fantastic. In the town, only around 500 people, there’s a bar, restaurant and post office. The city of Moncalvo (the smallest city in Italy) is only a few kilometres away.
